What’s New at Forage for 2024
Our seasonal harvest returns to South Wales with a variety of exciting new features and attractions. The whole family will enjoy our unique blend of Forage hospitality and farming expertise; making this years‘ Halloween celebrations bigger and better than ever. Starting with a brand new pumpkin picking location by Forage Farm Shop for you to explore.
New Location
We’ve uprooted our pumpkin patch and relocated closer to Forage Farm Shop and Kitchen with a new field fresh for picking!
The pumpkin patch is a stone’s throw away from the farm shop and restaurant, with clear signs directing you to the new location. Plus, benefit from 5% off any purchase as you pass Forage, simply by presenting your ticket.
Following the success of recent years, one element of our Pick Your Own Pumpkins experience remained clear… no more mud! Not only are we delighted to move the pumpkin patch closer to Forage for the 2024 season and beyond, we’re also pleased to announce the introduction of our hard-standing car park. How exciting.
A Twist on the Tractors
Of course, much of our popular pumpkin picking experience remains the same as you can expect the excitement of tractor rides for an immersive farm experience. However, this year you’re tasked with hunting for the witches’ belongings along the way!
Additional Animals
Should your child wish to take part in the pony rides for an additional £7.50pp, please do ensure they wear suitable footwear, remove jewellery and tie up any long hair! It is worth noting the ponies will take a well-deserved break between 1PM and 2PM – leaving you plenty of time to explore the rest of the pumpkin patch.
Fresh New Features
Whilst an engaging maze of maize is a popular staple of the patch, and face painting for family members of all ages will be on offer to transform into their trick-or-treat alter egos – we have some fresh and fun new features for 2024.
Catering for each generation, create memories to cherish as you splat the villain with our pumpkin catapult or unleash your child’s imagination with some fun and games.
Balloon modelling offers an alternative activity to keep your child engaged as they explore their imagination with inflatable creations from witches, pumpkin-men, vampires and all things Halloween! A selection of pumpkin-themed games also await from “Gourds and Crosses” to pumpkin cornhole providing entertainment for all ages with an added seasonal twist.
Fantastic Food and Drink
Whilst the high standard of Forage food and drink may not be new, would this be a Forage event without our truly delicious, locally sourced dishes?
Delicious food and drink options keep even the fussiest family members happy and your hunger at bay. From beef burgers and hot dogs to equally delicious veggie options. The Forage Away Hut we will be serving hot and cold drinks and light-bites such as biscuits and cakes. We guarantee seasonal, tasty and low food miles with lots of our produce sourced from Penllyn Estate Farm itself!
Twilight Picking
Not forgetting our bigger, better and spookier than ever pumpkin patch after dark…

From an engaging scare maze to autumnal marshmallow roasting around the fire pits, our pumpkin patch offers an atmospheric experience to suit any age
