Welcome To Forage Kitchen
Visit the Forage Kitchen to enjoy fresh, seasonal dishes, cooked by head Chef, Matt Eales (pictured), and his team in our beautiful new restaurant. Menus are refreshed regularly, and many of the ingredients are sourced on our doorstep from Penllyn Estate Farm, as well as from other local suppliers. Matt works closely with our head butcher, Steve Evans, to design delicious plates based on seasonal availability whilst also maintaining some of our most popular signature dishes. Mouth-watering specials are prepared each day, based on the local produce available. The restaurant provides a spectacular view over the Thaw Valley, with its contemporary design providing a feeling of warmth and space in which to enjoy your food and drink.
The kitchen is open for breakfast, lunch, and teatime treats for both adults and children. It is recommended that you reserve your table in advance via our online booking system or via our reservation line on: 07535 391872.
The restaurant has a relaxed atmosphere and our staff are on hand to help with anything you might need. Please do ask if you have any special dietary requirements or requests; our chefs will always try to accommodate these where possible.
Currently, the kitchen is not serving takeaway (it is table service only) – although those seated outside will be served in takeaway style (not using china mugs etc). Our takeaway service – Forage Away will be coming soon to the Forage lawn – don’t worry it won’t be long. Watch this space!
Our coffee bar is open until Monday to Saturday 8.30am – 5pm, and Sunday 9.30am – 4.30pm with a good selection of drinks, delicious cakes and other treats.
Breakfast: 8.30am-11.45am (9.30am on Sunday)
Lunch: 12pm-3pm (last orders 3.30pm on Saturday & Sunday)
Drinks available until 5pm (4pm on Sundays)
Children’s menu available until 4.45pm, Monday – Friday

We are now operating table service only (indoors and out). The only difference being that food and drink outside will be served in takeaway style.

Indoor Rules 6 people from 6 different households (excluding children under 11 and carers) can enjoy our amazing local and fresh seasonal menu in our beautiful Vale of Glamorgan surroundings.
